Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles in the way he's known in the pop world, is a British musician and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the group One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where together with three students, he created his musical group, White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they won. Even though he's always had an interest in the music world, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to become a lawyer and an physiotherapist. While working in the city's bakery Harry Styles could afford to feed his family. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. For that reason his band had to separate. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. However, they finished third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles' group didn't place, but Cowell nevertheless paid two million dollars for One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
